One of the most evocative rock art sites I ever visited is located in the Rock Art Ranch, right in the heart of Navajo Territory, in Arizona. This is a still operating cattle ranch that is also a tourist attraction. For a fee, the owner takes visitors to the site besides offering some demonstrations of ‘early’ cowboy life in the Wild West. The site features a few hundred images in just a small stretch of the canyon.
